Introducing the Doddie Waistcoat Duckling - limited availability.
At last! The last run of the Original Doddie Duck - the Doddie Waistcoat Duckling is now available. This is where it all began, back in January 2020 when I first came up with the idea of a Doddie Duck, then covid struck and the plans were put on the back burner until at last we could give the go ahead for their production. The Original Doddie Duck launched way back on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 and sold out almost immediately! From their sale almost £7000 was sent to the Foundation in January 2021.
We now have a limited number of the Doddie Waistcoat Ducklings for sale. Once they are done, they are done. Please note, in order to try to avoid the missed delivery, there is only an option now to have the order placed online delivered. You may still visit the shop in person and buy a duck while stocks last, please also remember that there is a blanket first come, first served policy and no ducks can be reserved or held.
This duckling is around 18cm, hand carved from sustainable bamboo root, with a hand painted waistcoat in the Foundation Tartan and complete with a cotton name tag ‘My name’5 Doddie’, he cuts a handsome figure.

The foundation was set up in 2017 after local (to us) former Scotland and British & Irish Lions rugby legend Doddie Weir was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
To date the foundation has raised and given millions of pounds to those affected by MND and is making some real headway into research of the disease thanks to your support.

About purchasing the Ducks. Doddie Ducks are a bespoke product and only available to buy through Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall online or in store. All of the money made from these ducks goes to the Foundation, to date we have donated £26,238.64. You can visit us in person to buy your duck at 41 Bank Street, Galashiels, TD1 1EP.
VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - The Doddie Duck products are limited to TWO per order as only two fit in the box for £5.95, the box is purpose made for shipping the Ducks, if you would like more than two, you may order more on a separate order/check out. It doesn’t need to be two of the same kind, so long as it is no more in one order.
APPLE PAY/GOOGLE PAY - important note - please make sure the delivery cost of £5.95 is added to the total before checking out. Sometimes faster payment has a glitch which passes the order though without adding delivery, I have tried to limit this by removing the in store collection option but as yet Im unsure if this will end the glitch.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Time is not of the essence for despatch of the Doddie Duck products since we are a small in number business (just me and one part time staff member) and it is a lengthy process. I will endeavour but cannot guarantee all orders to be shipped within 10 working days, please note the 48hr Tracked Royal Mail service commences when Royal Mail have the shipment.
Cart hijacking! Even though you have the product in your cart, until payment has been confirmed and accepted at checkout, the product may still sell out. I have no control over this, its a mechanism set by most online shopping platforms to prevent ‘hijacking’ where products are left in baskets stopping other shoppers accessing them.
During busy periods it is difficult often to answer correspondence in relation to the Doddie Ducks and I ask you kindly to respect the sale of this product for what it is, a fundraiser. I know I have said it around twelvty billion times but I feel I must offer a reminder - I cannot take orders for ducks - they must be bought either online or in store, I cannot put ducks aside I simply cannot facilitate these requests for this product and so the fairest way is to have a blanket policy.
